Affiliate disclosure

Where things stand

As of the date above, none of the links on this site earns us a commission. We may join affiliate programs later. When we do, links to those companies will be affiliate links, and this page will say which ones.

What an affiliate link means

If you click an affiliate link and then sign up for or buy a product, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

What it does not change

Commissions do not change the criteria we use to compare tools, the order of the lists (alphabetical) or what we write about a product. We do not accept payment to change what we say about a product. We also cover tools that may never pay us anything.

How we label links

Where a link earns a commission, we say so next to it and keep the notice at the top of every page. In line with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance, the notice is placed where you will see it before you click.
